Before we go into this, I need to state a disclaimer. Veon integrates both ECC and Business One editions of SAP. This article however is for demonstrating Account Sync feature of SAP Business One with Salesforce. It is one of the crucial aspects of SAP Salesforce integration. Further below we are going to go through the steps involved in the flow of Accounts data from Salesforce to SAP Business One. This is also put in the video along with the different combination of steps scenarios and their combinations.
In Salesforce, Accounts are the companies that you are doing business with, information of a company can be stored by creating accounts and can see the information of a company as a list of records related to it, such as people who work there, deals in the works, service requests, uploaded documents, and more.

Steps to Create an Account in Salesforce
Add a new account in Salesforce with all the required fields like Account Name, Phone, Fax, Website, Customer Number, Billing and Shipping address etc.
- After creating an Account, details can be synced from Salesforce to SAP B1 .
- If an account is synced successfully status of the ‘syncflag’ field in Salesforce will become ‘Y’ indicating that the integration was successful.
- For the process of syncing the accounts data we will use the APPSeCONNECT, a C# based windows application used to setup a bridge between Applications.
- We can log into SAP and search for the Account with ‘Customer Number’.
It must be noted that one of the key aspect to check is the SAP Customer number. In the above video the same customer number was fed into SAP which was put into Salesforce. In some cases, however, the SAP customer number needs to be generated and then pushed to SAP.
Further associated features
Contact Person Sync – The solution ensures that the contact persons are synchronized as well. Moreover the integration not only syncs the new Accounts, but also works in a bi-directional fashion. Any changes made in SAP or Salesforce is synced back to the other system. This allows Sales representatives to have latest and accurate information irrespective of whichever system they log into.
Transaction Information – Apart from master data like Accounts and Contacts, the solution also syncs transaction information like Quote, Sales Orders and Invoices. Kindly note that Invoice is not a standard object within Salesforce and it involves custom object creation. The demonstration video for the same will be shared in the subsequent articles.
Customer Addresses Sync –
The solution can be customized to include customer addresses. It may be noted that SAP can have multiple shipping and billing addresses. Salesforce by default can have one billing and shipping address per account. The solution has a possibility to map a custom object within Salesforce to map multiple addresses within Salesforce. This will be shown in a subsequent blog post.
